November Card Class


Thank You

Stamp Set:  Petite Pairs
Paper:  Pool Party, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, More Mustard, Spice Cake DSP
Ink:  Early Espresso
Accessories:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, 2 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch, Spice Cake Buttons, Spice Cake Designer Fabric, Mini Glue Dots

First I stamped "Sending Many Thanks" using Early Espresso Ink on the Very Vanilla Card Stock.  Then I attached it to the Pool Party Card Stock.  I then attached the DSP.  It over laps the Very Vanilla slightly.  I then punched a strip of Early Espresso using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and attached this over the seam of the DSP and VV.  Next I took about a 6" x 3/4" strip of Spice Cake Designer Fabric cut the  two shortest edges on an angle and frayed the edges.  I then threaded it through two of the hole of the button and tied to hold it in place.  I punched a scallop circle from More Mustard and attached the button to it using the Mini Glue Dots.  Finally I Attached the flower to the card also using Mini Glue Dots.




Bonus Card

Paper:  Whisper White, 2010-2012 In Color DSP
Ink:  Concord Crush
Accessories:  Modern Label Punch, Dimensionals

I attached small strips of 2010-2012 In Color DSP to the Whisper White.  I then stamped "Thanks So Much" using Concord Crush onto Whisper White and punched it out using the Modern Label Punch.  I then attached the label to the card using dimensionals.  Very simple card and a great way to us up scraps of DSP!

Ink:  More Mustard, Pear Pizzazz, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla (Craft Ink)
Accessories:  Scallop Edge Border Punch, 1 3/8" Square Punch, 1 1/4" Square Punch

I stamped "Gratefull" using Very Vanilla onto the Early Espresso.  I attached it to the Pear Pizzazz.  I used the Scallop Edge Punch to punch the edge of two Very Vanilla strips and attached them to the back of the DSP and attached this to the Early Espresso.  I then stamped each leaf onto VV using More Mustard, Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso and punched them out using the 1 1/4" Square Punch.  I then used the 1 3/8" Square punch to punch out three squares.  I attached the two different sized squares together to create the layer and attached the three pieces to the DSP strip.

Merry Christmas

Accessories:  Stocking Builder Punch, Modern Label Punch, Scallop Trim Border Punch, 3/8" Very Vanilla Velvet Stitched Ribbon, Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals

I ran the Early Espresso Card Stock throught the Big Shot using the Snow Burst Embossing Folder.  Then I attached it to the Cherry Cobbler.  Next I punched the Cherry Cobbler strip using the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  Then I attached the DSP and the Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon to the Cherry Cobbler Strip.  Next I attached this layer to the card.  I ran the Garden Green through the Big Shot using the Designer Frames Embossing Folder and cut out the frame.  I stamped the main part of the stocking using Cherry Cobbler and the three trim pieces using the Garden Green.  I used the Stocking Builder Punch to punch out these pieces.  I attached the trim pieces to the main part of the stocking and used Dimensionals to attach the stocking to the frame.  I then used Dimensionals to attach the frame to the card.  Next I stamped "Merry Christmas" using Cherry Cobbler onto Whisper White and punched it out using the Modern Label Punch.  I then used the modern Label Punch to punch out a Garden Green label and I cut it in half.  I then attached the two Garden Green pieces to the back of the Whisper White label and attached this layer to the card.

Thinking of You






Stamp Set:  Gently Falling, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Spice Cake DSP
Ink:  Soft Suede, Early Espresso, Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, More Mustard
Accessories:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Sponge, Dimensionals

I places to two pieces of Spice Cake DSP onto the Soft Suede.  Next using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, I Punched out the ribbon Border from More Mustard and attached it between the two pieces of DSP.  Next I stamped the medium leaf on the Very Vanilla using Soft Suede and Pear Pizzazz. Then I used Pool Party and a sponge to edge the Very Vanilla.  On a scrap of Very Vanilla I stamped the small leaf, using Early Espresso and Pool Party, and the acorn, using Soft Suede and More Mustard.  I cut the two images out and attached them with a dimensional.  Then I attached the Very Vanilla tithes Pool Party and used four Dimensionals to attached the layer to the card.

Jack-O-Lantern


Stamp Set:  Jack of All Trades
Paper:  Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Whisper White, Frightful Sights DSP
Ink:  Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Accessories:  Scallop Edge Border Punch, 1/8 Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, Sponge

I used the Scallop Edge Border punch on the Basic Black.  Then I attached the DSP to the Basic Black.  Next I attached the ribbon towards the bottom part of this layered piece. I attached this to the bottom part of the card.  Next I stamped the pumpkin onto the Whisper White using Cajun Craze ink.  I then stamped the face onto it using Basic Black. I added the stem stamped in Chocolate Chip and the spiral using Old Olive.  Next I used Cajun Craze to edge the Whisper White using a sponge. I attached the Whisper White to the Basic Black and attached this layer to the top part of the card slightly over lapping the DPS.

Wish Big


Stamp Set:  Word Play
Paper:  Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Retired DSP
Ink:  Black StazOn
Accessories:  1/8 Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon, 1/8 Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Blossom Bouquet Layer Punch, 1 1/4 Square Punch, 1 Square punch, Dimensionals

I stamped Wish Big using black StazOn onto the Old Olive DSP. Then I attached it to the Chocolate Chip.  Next I attached that layer onto the Tempting Turquoise.  Using the 1 1/4 square punch I punched 3 squares from Chocolate Chip.  Using the 1 square punch I punched out 3 squares, each from a different DSP.  I then attached the DSP squares to the Chocolate Chip squares. Around the red present I attached a piece of Daffodil Delight ribbon.  Using the Blossom Bouquet Layer Punch I a Daffodil Delight flower, a Real Red flower, and an Old Olive flower.  I attached the middle piece of the flower to the squares to make the bow of the presents.  I tied a knot in a piece of Early Espresso ribbon and attached it to the striped package.  I places a rhinestone on the star in "Wish" and one on the Real Red bow.

Bonus Card



Stamp Set:  Sincere Salutations
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Greenhouse Gala DSP(retired)
Ink:  Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Decorative Label Punch, Daffodil Delight  5/8" Grossgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals

I attached the DSP to the Baja Breeze.  Then I attached the ribbon and trimmed to size.  I stamped the words on a piece of Whisper White and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.  Then using the Decorative Label punch, I punch out about half of a label on the Pear Pizzazz.  I did this twice and attached these two peices to the back of the Whisper White to create a matted look.  Then I used Dimensionals to attach this to the ribbon.

On the Very Vanilla I stamped the butterfly using Pretty in Pink, the swirl in Crumb Cake, and the words in Early Espresso.  I attached it to the piece of Early Espresso.  Next on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla I stamped a second butterfly.  I cut it out (cutting off the antennae), made a crease in the middle, placed the pearls on the crease, and attached it to the butterfly onto the first one I stamped.  I ran some adhesive on the inside of the ribbon and folded it in half.  I then attached it to the early Espresso/Very Vanilla layer.  I ran a stripe of Early Espresso through the Scallop Trim Punch.  I ran the piece of Pretty in Pink through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder.  I attached these two and then attached this layer to the Crumb Cake.  Finally I attached the two parts together.

After I stamped the flower and Thank You, I used the sponge and Early Espresso to edge the Very Vanilla.  I then tied the ribbon about it and attached it to the More Mustard.  I ran a piece of Early Espresso through the Big Shot using the Houndstooth Impressions Folder.  I then attached it to the large piece of more Mustard.  Finally I attached to two parts together. 

Best of Everything

Ink:  Old Olive, Calypso Coral
Accessories:  Victoria 5/8" Crochet Trim, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals

I layered the Old Olive DSP, Very Vanilla, and the Old Olive card stock.  Next I attached the Crochet Trim by wrapping it around.  Then I attached all of this to the Calypso Coral.  I stamped the bird using Calyspo Coral and punched it with the 1 1/4 Circle punch.  I punch out a circle of Old Olive using the 1 3/8 Circle Punch. I punched out a scallop circle from the Calypso Coral.  I layered all three of these together and attached it with a Dimensional.

August Card Class






Birthday Wishes

Stamp Sets:  Summer Splash, Occasional Quotes

I attached the scallop square to the 8 x 4 scored piece of Tempting Turquoise card stock.  I used Crystal Effects to make the raised bubbles.  This makes a nice birthday card for a child, a summer birthday or someone that likes fish.





Fifth Avenue Floral

Stamp Sets:  Fifth Avenue Floral, Occasional Quotes
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake, Elegant Soiree DSP (retired)
Ink:  Soft Suede
Accessories:  Big Shot, Elegant Lines Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Very Vanilla Seam  
Binding Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue Pen

I ran the Baja Breeze through the Big Shot using the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.  On one end of the seam binding, I pulled a few pieces of thread to create the gathered look.  When it was about half way, I then went to the other end and did the same thing.  This was you don't accidentally pull the thread all the way out.  I attached the seam binding to the DSP and wrapped the end underneath it.  Then I attached the DSP to the Baj Breeze.  I stamped the the smallest flower from Fifth Avenue Floral using Soft Suede ink onto Crumb Cake.  I used the 2-Way Glue Pen to attached the Dazzling Diamonds to the center of the flower.  Then I attached the Crumb Cake to the Not Quite Navy and attached that to the card.  I used three of the same sized Basic Pearls in the right hand corner.  On the inside I stamped Congratulations on Your Wedding Day.



Bold Blossoms

Stamps Set:  Bold Blossom
Paper:  Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Ink:  Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral
Accessories:  Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Basic Rhinestones, Lucky Limeade 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon, Dimensionals

I first stamped the stem for the flower using Lucky Limeade ink.  I had to make sure that I left enough room for the top part of the flower.  Then I attached the pieces of the flower to line up with each stem.  I added a rhinestone to the center of each flower.  I attached the Whisper White to the Baja Breeze.  Next I attached the ribbon by wrapping it around this layer.  Next I attached this layer to the Calypso Coral.  I stamped the words using Calypso Coral and punched it out with the Scallop Oval Punch.  Next I used Dimensionals to attach this to the card.

The flips flops and words "fun in the sun!" are stamped with the Black StazOn and the flip flops are colored using the Stampin' Write Markers. The words are punched out with the 1" circle and then sponged with Daffodil Delight. The ribbon is wrapped all the way around the front of the card and tied. Using a Demensional, the 1" circle is placed below the ribbon.
Birthday Wishes
Stamp Sets: Punch Bunch,
Paper: Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Ink: Poppy Parade
Accessories: 1 1/4" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Dimensionals
The 1 1/4" circles are first placed on the Whisper White paperboy over lapping them leaving on of the circles fully exposed. The two circles on the right and left sides are trimmed. Your Friend is stamped in Poppy Parade and punched out with the 1" Circle Punch. Then using a Dimensional, it is placed on one of the 1 1/4 circles. Birthday Wishes is stamped with Poppy Parade.
Owl
Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Woodland Walk DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Two-Step Owl Punch, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker, Dimensionals, Big Shot, Perfect Dots Embossing Folder.
Garden Green is embossed using the Perfect Dots Embossing Folder and attached to the Chocolate Chip. Next the striped piece of DSP is placed on the Chocolate Chip. The Scallop Ribbon Border is placed where the two pieces meet. A hole in punched in the Chocolate Chip square using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. In order to get a big enough hole in the middle I punch it four different times. Each time a rotated the square to take a little bit more off the center. Next time I will try the 1 3/4" Circle Punch to see if it would work better. Next I punched a circle in the Wood Grain DSP using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch. To get the center out the the scallop circle I first punched a circle out of a piece of Chocolate Chip using the 1 3/8" circle punch. Then I centered the Scallop Circle Punch around the circle opening I punched out the scallop. I placed the Wood Grain DSP on the Chocolate Chip and the Scallop Circle on the Wood Grain. After punching out the Owl pieces and putting it together, I tucked it behind the square so that it came out the circle. I used one Demensional behind the Owl towards the top of it and one in each corner of the square. The words were stamped in Chocolate Chip on the Very Vanilla and punched out using the Word Window. Behind it I used Chocolate Chip punched with the Modern Label Punch. This is a very versatile card. It made a great Father's Day card. It could also be used for a birthday, thank you, or what ever you would like.

Paper: Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Whisper White, Retired DSP
Ink: Early Espresso
Accessories: 1 1/4" Square Punch, 3/16" Corner Rounder Punch, Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
The front the the card was embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Four squares were punched out of e DSP using the 1 1/4" Square Punch and then two of the four corners on each square were rounder using the 3/8" Corner Rounder Punch. Next the squares were placed on the Whisper White. Kind Thanks was stamped in Early Espresso. The Whisper White was placed on Early Espresso and then placed on the card front of to the right side.

Bliss


I used a lot of dimensionals on this card. There are two behind the Decorative Label, one behind the butterfly, and four behind the Crumb Cake card stock. After stamping, I cut out the butterfly. I cut off the antenna. I placed three small Rhinestones on the body.

Graduation Owl


For this card I let my customers select the color of card stock they embossed. For the sample I used Real Red. I used the Curly Label Punch to create the bottom of the graduation hat. Then I used the paper trimmer to cut a diamond shape for the top. The nose it the heart from the Two-Step Owl Punch. There are dimensionals behind the owl. I also used dimensionals behind the black square.

Brayering with Dry Embossing


For this technique I used a brayer to apply the Blushing Bride ink to the flat side of the embossing folder. Next I carefully placed the Whisper White card stock onto the folder. Then I closed the folder and ran it through the Big Shot. The flowers turn out white and the background is Blushing Bride. Finally I used the Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker to color the center of the flowers. To clean the folder, simply run it under water and let dry.

May Card Class

My card class is the second Tuesday of every month. It is held at my house and begins at 7:00 p.m. Each month we do 3 beautiful cards for $10. These are the three cards we did last night.
